Robert W. Parry Teaching Award in Chemistry was established in 1990 by Dr. Rodney H. and Carolyn H. Brady to recognize outstanding teaching in the Department of Chemistry. Bob Parry remains an extraordinary example for our current faculty members to follow. He was a brilliant scholar and researcher, a national leader in professional service, and, of course, an excellent teacher. Dr. Rodney H. and Carolyn H. Brady are great friends of the Department of Chemistry. Rodney Brady Family Foundation continues to be generous in supporting excellence in teaching and honoring Bob Parry with yearly contributions.
Matt Sigman, Distinguished Professor and Department Chair, said: Andrew received this well-deserved award for his excellence in teaching organic chemistry at both the graduate and undergraduate level as well as his inspired effort to recruit and train undergraduate researchers.
