Application Process
Apply using the University of Utah Graduate Admissions Application. Follow the instructions on the application site to submit the following required documents. Please refer to the document guide below for further assistance, simply select the corresponding tabs.

- Graduation with a recognized four-year degree
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- English proficiency scores (International students only)

Application & Acceptance Dates
- For priority consideration, completed applications should be received by December 1. Applications received after that date and until February 1 will be reviewed in an ongoing basis.
- By agreement with other U.S. universities, we ask that you make your decision to ACCEPT our chemistry graduate offer by April 15.

- International application fee waiver is NOT available for Fall 2024 class prior to applying
- We require you to cover the application when applying. Upon your admittance into our program we will reimburse this cost.
- International students must pay the application fee in order to consider your application complete. Applications will not be reviewed until all required documentation and materials are received.
- Faculty and departments are not able to provide or sponsor application fee waivers for international students.
